President Obama and the First Lady left the White House on Saturday, boarding Marine One while on their way to Camp David. Daughters Sasha and Malia have begun their spring break, so the First Family is taking a long weekend at the presidential retreat.
Mr. Obama is skipping a Washington tradition -- Saturday night's Gridiron Club dinner.
Washington's elite use the annual gathering to skewer each other with skits and parodies. Vice President Joe Biden will attend instead.
Prior to leaving for the weekend, Mr. Obama received his usual White House briefing on the world's problems.
